DAE Research is the Applied Research cell of the Digital Arts & Entertainment bachelor’s degree program at Howest University of Applied Sciences in Kortrijk, Belgium.
A bachelor’s degree in game technology with a strong focus on development: such as DAE Game Development or equivalent through relevant experience in in game development/VR/AR/AI…
If you have a non-Belgian diploma, with the exception of the Netherlands, an equivalence certificate from NARIC must be added.
Dutch is helpful as we work closely with the Flemish sector. English skills are essential in the game tech field and are used a lot within the team so don’t let the Dutch requirements stop you from applying.
You will be recruited in contractual employment for a fixed period from as soon as possible until 30/09/2024. Don’t be scared off by the short contract as it’s just a hiring policy we need to abide by, but an extension is highly likely if everyone is happy.
A maximum of 10 years of relevant experience can be included in the financial seniority.

The DAE Research office is located in Kortrijk, Belgium at Howest – The Square. The job often takes you to other Howest (and project partner school) campuses and to various locations in Belgium for meetings and events. There can also be some EU and international travel for conferences, etc…
Fully remote/hybrid work is not possible for this position but some work from home is.
