Artificial intelligence is transforming the creative industry, offering new ways to generate, iterate and visualise concepts at unprecedented speed. However, the use of AI raises essential questions around authorship, accuracy, process integrity, environmental impact and artistic identity.
AI Conversational Fisher Game
The second Blue Balance project use case draws attention to Flemish North Sea coastal fishing and the world of blue food. DAE Research collaborated with a group of six DAE students to design a fun and interactive experience focused on key Blue Balance themes.
Visualising the Spioenkop throughout time
The first use case as part of the Blue Balance project was centred around coastal transition. There the focus was put on contextualising this transition by showing how our coast evolved through time. For this, a critical point of the coast was chosen, Wenduine. The location allowed us to show a variety of elements from its viewpoint, the Spioenkop.

The general public is often insufficiently aware of and involved in the sustainable transition of the Flemish coastal area. That’s why the BLUE BALANCE project is aimed at creating public support and facilitating a comprehensive dialogue between stakeholders.
