The Making of the Short Film: 'A Very Wild Boar'
During the shoot of ‘A Very Wild Boar’, we experimented with a range of techniques to bring the film’s environments and visual style to life. This included testing different approaches within a Virtual Production setup, combining real-time workflows with digital environments to better understand how these tools can support storytelling.
The project became a strong example of collaboration in practice. By bringing together different partners, each contributing their own expertise, perspectives, and creative input, the production environment evolved into a shared space for experimentation and learning. From production workflows to visual storytelling, this exchange of knowledge helped shape the direction of the shoot and opened up new ways of thinking about the process.
One of the key takeaways from this experiment was the role of iterative development within Virtual Production. Rather than relying on a single fixed approach, the workflow allowed for testing and refining ideas on set, making space for rapid adjustments and creative exploration.
We look forward to sharing more insights and materials from the project in the coming months. A Very Wild Boar is set for release this autumn. Thanks to everyone involved for their contribution and collaboration throughout the project!
