Virtual Production Network

The Virtual Production Network 2 project develops teaching guidelines, exercises, lesson plans, slide decks, and recommendations based on knowledge generated through research, practical experience, interviews, and workshops with project participants. By identifying knowledge gaps and gathering insights directly from practice, the project ensures that educational materials remain relevant and applicable.

Virtual Production Studio Network 2

The Virtual Production Studio Network 2 (VPSN2) project focuses on developing practical and accessible educational resources that support the growing field of Virtual Production (VP). Building on knowledge gathered through research, hands-on experimentation, workshops, interviews, and collaboration with project participants, VPSN2 aims to create learning materials that reflect both current industry practices and real educational needs.

The project develops a range of outputs including teaching guidelines, exercises, lesson plans, presentation materials, and recommendations that can be used by educators, students, and institutions interested in integrating Virtual Production into their learning environments. Rather than taking a purely theoretical approach, VPSN2 places strong emphasis on learning through practice and translating real production experiences into educational content.

A central part of the project involves identifying existing knowledge gaps and understanding where additional support, structure, or training is needed. To do this, VPSN2 continuously gathers insights directly from people working with and experimenting in the field. Research findings are complemented by practical experiences, participant feedback, and discussions with professionals already applying Virtual Production technologies in their own workflows during dedicated workshop events.

To ensure the materials remain relevant in a fast-changing landscape, VPSN2 also incorporates emerging developments identified through market research and exchanges with industry experts. These insights feed back into workshops, testing sessions, and follow-up activities, allowing the project to continuously refine and strengthen its educational approach.

Collaboration plays an important role throughout the project. By working closely with project partners, educators, teachers, and participant groups, VPSN2 creates structured learning resources that are not only informative but also clear, adaptable, and easy to implement across different educational contexts.

Through this approach, VPSN2 contributes to building knowledge, supporting skills development, and helping prepare learners and educators for the future of Virtual Production.

Stay tuned for updates and upcoming teaching materials from the project.
